Questions For Noam Chomsky

1. At certain times, two people may say the exact same thing at exactly the same time. Has this linguistic phenomenon been given a technical name and how much study has been done on it?

2. At certain times, two people may be thinking the same general thought and when one expresses that thought, the other states that they, too, were just thinking the same thing. This then serves to reify an actual event. Is this phenomenon linguistically related in the biolinguistic sense?

3. Nonverbal communication sometimes occurs over long distances. E.g. You go to the grocery store to get only milk. When you pass by the dogfood aisle you stop and think, "I had better get some dog food." When you get home your wife tells you, "I'm glad you picked up dog food because after you left I noticed we were out." How is this related to biolinguistics?

4. The Voynich Manuscript is extraterrestrial in origin. Are you familiar with its linguistic structure?

Example: cphdor shedal qopchdy dshedy shedy tchedy lsheetal shecphy daiin dycheor sheedy daiin oekeedy qokeey qokedy oteedy shedy qokedy shedam sol sheol sheey lteedy qokeedy qotal chedy checthy otedeey qokol chedy deey saiin sheedy qol sheedy okeeedy qoteedy chedy qotedy oleeedy qoteedy loqokeedy qol cheedy otedy cthedy otedy qoteedy shcthedy qoeekeedy deedy tchedy lsheedy chedal chedy checthey

Drunken Boots Reprise

They were s'pose' to be in Wichita
But didn't make it,
Stayed out drinkin' in the barn all day
No need in fakin' it,
It's a Jones an' that's fo' sho'
Somedays ya just can't take it,
Like ole Captain Trips chasin' the dragon,
Or ridin' in the undertaker's wagon,
You know you just can't mend a broken heart
Unless at first you break it.
